Louisiana SoLA region
Louisiana, as a state and community, has committed to reaching net zero by 2050. Collectively, the industrial sectors of the Southeast Louisiana (SoLA) corridor will be looked upon to lead the way. With a combined carbon output of 120 million metric tons per year, decarbonizing the SoLA corridor will make for one of the most ambitious missions of its kind in the world.
The United Kingdom
The UK is a forerunner in initializing industrial decarbonization projects. The country is one of the first to plan and confirm technical decarbonization projects within the clusters, leading the direction of what could come within the next few years for other industrial clusters around the world. The UK has 7 major industrial clusters producing around 73 million metric tonnes of carbon output per year responsible for a quarter of the UK's carbon emissions.
